Question: Can eRemit grow with my
business?
Answer: Yes. eRemit is designed to be highly scalable
and works with many different scanners. So you can move to a
faster scanner without changing software.

Question: Which is better a two pass
or one pass system?
Answer: It depends. Each situation is different and
there are many differing opinions. We feel the two pass system
is better because it results in fewer errors and reduces the
importance of sorting full pays from partial pays during the mail
opening process. Proponents of the single pass system point
out that items only have to go down the scanner or transport once.
Our experience has shown that a higher daily volume can be achieved
by using a two pass system.

Question: What is the difference
between a one and two pass system?
Answer: A one pass system requires the batches to be
sorted between full and partial pays. Full pay payments are
scanned and encoded on the same pass using the data from the
coupon's scanline to encode the check with. The partial pays
require the transport operator to key the check amount while it is
in the track so that it can be encoded. In a two pass system
full and partial pays do not have to be separated. All items
are scanned down the transport at the transport's maximum speed.
Any items that were not read during the CarLar process are keyed by
a keying operator. After the keying is down the checks are
sent down the transport a second time to be encoded.

Answer: Yes. eRemit with Project Builder allows for
multiple projects to be set up and ran simultaneously.

Answer: Probably eRemit is compatible with many leading check scanners and transports including Canon, CTS, Panini,
NCR, Unisys and others. If the software does not currently suppport your scanner the modular design of eRemit enables to
quickly and easily add support for other check scanners and transports. |
